It is believed that Anne did not want to play the part as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 thriller Halloween which was later recast for Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter claims that Anne rejected his proposal to portray Laurie Strode. Anne states that she doesn't recall being contacted or offered the part from John Carpenter. One of her agents could have rejected the role on her behalf and without her knowledge. Glen Larson, who had sent her the very first draft of the script for a role of the TV series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, first chose her. She originally rejected the position due to the fact that she thought the character was weak. Later Glen wrote a new part exclusively for her featuring the character that was stronger, Sheba. The Living Legend was accepted when she was able to read the initial 25 page script. The program ran for one episode. She was in Joyride in a film from 1977 featuring Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (son Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille and Lucille) and alongside Robert Carradine. In 1987 she co-starred alongside Michael Moriarty and The Dark Tower.
